I have had two service calls now from Southport. Both times the servicemen were prompt and knowledgeable. Last evening I had called because I had a backup with my basement drain. I thought I could wait until Monday but when it backed up again, Thursday night, I called and they rescheduled me for an early morning appointment. Blake arrived and kept me informed of everything he was doing and what he was finding. He made sure to speak with his superior Throughout his time here.Even though it appears the drain was clear they stayed and made sure that I had no issues with the basement drain. Anytime I have had any questions or concerns the owner, Jackson has always addressed them

Their customer service was fantastic — friendly, responsive, and helpful every step of the way. The plumber (Joe) who came out kept me fully informed throughout the process, which I really appreciated. There were no surprises or hidden costs; the final price matched the quote exactly.

Southport Home Services is a great company and a great choice to take care of your HVAC needs. Although we have dealt with a couple of the other local service companies, we were lucky to come across Southport when we were ready to replace our furnace and AC. They made good, solid, recommendations, suggested going with a heat pump, and did NOT try to upsell us on more than we needed.

Jackson Barrow and the installation team were fantastic to work with; knowledgeable, patient, willing to explain and educate as they did their work. They fixed some issues with the previous system's infrastructure and made sure we were well taken care of. When we had a minor issue (no fault of Southport) Jackson and team came back out prompltly and took care of it, despite our request being a bit of extra work for them.

I really can't recommend them highly enough!

Technician came and went thru all our plumbing systems and identified a potential problem with a sink.

I cannot say enough great things about Southport Home Services! We have been using them for about four years, and every single experience has been outstanding. Their responsiveness and customer service are unlike anything I have experienced with another home service company.

Most recently, our hot water heater went out around 9:00 PM. I messaged Southport online that night, and they had someone at our home before 8:00 AM the very next morning. Andrew and Blake were absolutely amazing technicians! They completed our annual heating inspection and installed our new hot water heater. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and made the entire process incredibly easy.

This also wasn’t the first time Southport went above and beyond for us. Two Christmases ago, our furnace stopped putting out heat on a Friday evening, just as we were supposed to be heading to Chicago. After 5:00 PM, Jackson personally got back to us and assured us that a technician would be out shortly and that they would take care of the problem. And they did!

Southport came out that same night and fixed our furnace, even after another company had told us we would likely be without heat for several days because they would have to wait for a part. Southport found a way to take care of it immediately. Having that kind of service right before Christmas—and knowing we could leave for our trip without worrying about our home—meant more to us than I can say.

After four years, I can confidently say Southport is the fastest and most responsive home service company I have ever worked with. When something goes wrong in your home, especially your heat or hot water, you want a company that actually answers, follows through, and makes you feel like your problem matters. Southport does exactly that.

Their customer service is truly second to none, and they have earned our trust time and time again. I had my annual Heat Pump AC checkup today (8/26/26) by Southport. As always, their technician Zach Birkholrz did a thorough and excellent job. Zach is very pleasant and professional and explains the checkup process and results very clearly. And, as a bonus, he gets along with our dog.

Joe Suchla replaced our two outside faucets and main water shut-off today. The rear faucet was only accessible from a basement crawl space, so he installed a secondary shut-off valve in the baseme t so I did not have to enter the crawl space to shut off the faucet in the winter months. He also bought the main water shut-off up to code with a shut-off valve on each side of the meter. Joe arrived on time, performed all plumbing upgrades professionally, kept me informed of the upgrade progress, and cleaned up at the end of the job. We are very pleased with the job Joe did and have always been pleased with the work Southport has done for our plumbing and HVAC needs. We highly recommend Southport.

Travis was awesome, I called on Tuesday afternoon and the issue was fixed by 11am Wednesday morning.

From the time my call to replace my water heater was answered to the time their service van pulled away Southport was responsive and courteous. Henry and Riley were fantastic! They explained every step and answered every question we had. I enthusiastically recommend Southport.

Very quick and professional installation of a new AC unit. Worked with some of my personal reqests which made for a great install.

I have a Shield maintenance agreement with Southport Plumbing Heading and Cooling.

The value for the plan is fantastic! They come out and help maintain your plumbing, heating and cooling systems. Jacob from the HVAC side has come out to my home and has done an excellent job of keeping me aware of what is working well, and what I may need to keep an eye on.

Justan and Nathan from the plumbing side have also come out to my house and did the regular yearly maintenance. They too, do an awesome job of keeping me updated on how the plumbing is within my house.

I also was alerted to the battery being bad for my sump pump backup system and Justan and Nathan installed a new sump pump and a new backup system as well. The timing was impeccable as we faced a power loss for around 24 hours, and the battery was fully charged and the backup sump pump worked while we didn't have power! It was better paying for the backup system than a repair bill for a flooded basement.

To round it out, the office staff, Sarah did a great job helping me coordinate not only the visits for the maintenance, but also helped facilitate the installation of the plumbing work.

I recently had a technician from Southport come out to provide a quote for a new furnace and air conditioning unit, and I was very impressed with the experience. They did a thorough inspection to determine the best fit for my property rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution.

Caleb, the representative, was knowledgeable and took the time to explain all of my options. He educated me throughout the entire process, and made sure I understood the differences between each system so I could make an informed decision. The customer service was truly superb.

I would definitely recommend Southport to anyone looking for an honest, professional HVAC company. They primarily carry Carrier equipment but they do other options exclusively made by Carrier for Southport as well.

Was having issues with my Generic generator trying to start up and misfiring. Smelled gas. Long story short HVAC team came out and tested all of the gas pipes. Everything tested good..

My entire central air system needed to be replaced. The team that came out was very professional, thorough and knowledgeable. I had a very short timeframe to get this done and they accommodated everything I needed. I would definitely call them again for any of my future needs.

Vincent Beyer, Service Technician did a great job this morning troubleshooting a DIY Mini-Split Unit that was leaking water inside my garage unit. He fixed the drain hose, cleaned the filters, checked to see the unit was working properly for cooling and heating and insulated a hole. He was very professional and was able to answer all my questions. Got there name from Angi's list.

Phil was our service technician and clearly explained what he was doing to service our HVAC unit and thoroughly answered our questions. We highly recommend him.

Update: had Southport out again as my AC was not holding the cold temp. Vincent found an issue Andrew had missed (very very small crawlspace Andrew may have been too large to see) where ductwork had detached.

The service was great. Stephen and Jack never stopped working from 830 till 7 o’clock at night. The air in our house is cold, which is exactly what I wanted. I’m very happy with the service. I will recommend to other friends.

Once again I had tremendous service from Southport. Andrew and Riley were very professional, explained how everything was going to work and ALWAYS clean up afterwards.

FANTASTIC customer service, since the first contact requesting a Technician in a urgent situation, to the presentation all possibilities to solve your problem without any pressure due the situation.
Transferred to them, on the spot, the contract to take care and maintenance of our AC, furnace and plumbing.

The cleaned up after themselves, not something I find that all trades do. They walked me through everything that was done, answered my questions, and payment was easy. Adam was very courteous and helpful. My only complaint is that we quotes we received from Nathan yesterday were much, much lower than what Adam wired us today. All employees should be on the same page when it comes to cost!

My sump pump failed during a recent storm and my basement flooded. Southport came out and replaced the sump pump, cracked PVC piping and installed a backup battery with a wifi connection. Our technician Justan was very thorough and even helped set up our wifi connection for the new system. Answered all of our questions and was very polite and professional. Price was slightly expensive ($3100 with discount to sign up for their maintenance program), but the peace of mind to have a dry basement is worth it. It stormed last night, and new sump pump worked perfectly.

Tyler and Mike were extremely professional, competent, and friendly. They showed up on time, got right to work on taking out my old equipment, and installing the new furnace and air conditioner. They were extremely helpful and patient with me on explaining the new thermostat and setting it up on my phone.

Highly recommend Southport. Tyler came out late the evening prior to diagnose our non-working A/C. He coordinated ordering a part and covering the part under warranty. Zach came out the following afternoon with part in hand and made the repair to get our AC back right at the start of a heat wave. Thank you both!!

Caleb sized my furnace and heat pump correctly and it's a great system but after financing and Installation 2nd floor bedrooms were still hot .. they went above and beyond a dan ductwork from my basement to the 2nd floor to add returns to fix the issues.. so far , so great ... Although it's going to be in the high 80's -90s this week so I'm stress testing the system to see if it's all fixed.. even if it's not they'll work with me .. and all the secondary ductwork was installed at their expense. Not a penny out of pocket.

Nate the office manager is a man of his word and I'll be staying working with Southport Services for quite awhile.
