My experience started with a call to Southport for a second look opinion. They were highly recommended. The technician Tyler was able to find and explain the problem/s I was having with my 20 year old furnace and AC unit. He went over my options thoroughly, quickly set up a time for Justin to go over those options with necessary numbers, and the appointment was made for a new furnace and AC. The technicians Max, Diego and Aaron did a fantastic job with removal of my existing system and new installation. They treated me and my home with respect, paying great attention to detail. Max explained the process as they went along, making sure any question I had was answered. Nathan, the sales manager was even kind enough to stop and make sure I was happy with the whole process. The entire staff exceeded my expectations and were so professional, courteous and respectful, which is especially appreciated, as home repairs can be quite stressful. I highly recommend Southport.

Southport responded quickly and effectively in replacing our sump pump on the day of the storm on 4/17/2026 where our lower level of our home flooded. Both Alex and Andy responded. Despite not being on call, Andy responded as a neighbor and ensured that the sump pump got installed himself so that the overflow would stop and damage would be minimized. This included working in the midst of the water at 3am. I suspect the water damage and overall impact would have been exponentially worse if not for Andy’s dedication to solving the problem. I was out of town when this occurred and both my spouse and I are very grateful for Andy and Southport’s prompt emergency response. Approximately a week later we proceeded with installation of a battery backup. Thank you for the service and assistance in mitigating this very stressful and difficult situation.

I saw Southport at a remodeling trade show at Monona Terrace in Madison, and requested an inspection of the heat pump in my 40+ yo condo. The person scheduling the appointment handled a last minute change to the appt professionally and accommodated my request. The technician was also very professional and knew his trade incredibly well. When the inspection unsurprisingly showed the unit needed replacement, I was still provided with repair options, pricing on individual repairs, and payment methods. A definite bonus was the tech was personable and empathetic, going as far as laughing at my dad jokes (they're bad, trust me 🙄). Finally, there was no pressure to pay for additional services, or any hard sales to purchase anything or repair on the spot. Overall a great experience, I will be using Southport going forward.
